Elixir High Modern Pendant Light

PLC Lighting Elixir Modern Pendant

No other lighting manufacturer that I know of has such a sense of organic flora and fauna shapes like PLC Lighting. Witness their Elixir large pendant /chandelier, Model # 23618, with its spirochete shape and almost coral like feel. What makes this unique is that it comes in frost and amber, and the amber version looks like an entirely different fixture. The frost version has an aquatic, Coral Sea flavor, whereas the amber Elixir looks like a post Rio de Janeiro party favor that exploded in someone’s hotel suite. Measuring 52″ x 35″, and utilizing 13 60 watt G 9 bulbs, this creation of the pendant lighting world puts out a lot of light. There are 2 smaller versions available, 23616 and 23614, measuring 42″ x 30″ and 30″ x 25″ respectively. But I say, go for broke, and get the large one. This will wow your modern art friends, biology nerds, and cosmopolitan world travelers who frequent your hip abode. Supplied with 15′ of adjustable cable (10′ for the 26314), these will work for high ceilings, and higher tastes. So partake of the Elixir, and live the light dream fantastic.

Emerson Ceiling Fans - Model CF711

Last summer I purchased the 50 inch Builder Plus Ceiling Fan from Emerson Ceiling Fans  from our website: Now, since I have worked here at AffordableLamps.com for four years, and I know a few people, I got a good deal on it. The thing is, when I get home from a long day at the office, the last thing I want to do is look at fans or lights or computers, or anything else that reminds me of work. So the ceiling fan sat around for a few months, until my wife thought of hiring the upstairs neighbor, whom we call Flakey Guy to install the thing. We asked him, and he said “how much?” and we offered him $25.00, and he said, “Sure.”

So the negotiations were set, the price agreed, and away he went. Four hours later, Flakey Guy along with his friend whom we shall call Hairy Dude, after much huffing and puffing and grunting, finished the install. I felt guilty, so I threw in a few bottles of beer, but all in, the install was a success, the fan worked, and still does, by the way.

So for the price of a discounted fan, and $25.00, I just lowered my cooling costs by 25% a month. After 4 months, the fan paid for itself. And since my cheesy landlord refuses to replace his antique air conditioning unit, this fan will really save our bacon come the sweltering summer months.

So find the fan of your dreams, and hire your own Flakey Guy& Hairy Dude, and prepare to have a Fantastic summer.
