This has got to be the weirdest stocking stuffer idea I could come up with. This second cousin of a sea urchin, twice removed, is oddly repellant and engaging, a perfect accessory for the home that screams look at me! Ugly and appealing, a hanging contradiction, like skittles for skid row. The creature comes in white, chrome, and black measuring 12” in diameter and selling for under $200.00. For hippies and hipsters, modern art gurus, and home grown groupies, this fixture is tacky and tactile and while not tasty, is is tantalizing. Leave it to Varaluz to come up with a funky, freakish, futuristic fur ball of a fixture.

World Imports live up to its name, especially with the Madrid Medium Outdoor Nautical Style Wall Sconce (Product Page: http://www.affordablelamps.com/wi-9073-99.html), a wet location rated wrought iron wall sconce that is very inexpensive and dapper. The sconce looks like it is wearing a Spanish hat. It measures 9″ wide by 12″ high and is 10.25″ deep with a title 24 compliance and uses one 18W fluorescent bulb. At under $57.00, you will be saying Ole! with a sconce which is perfect for the lighting inquisition on any continent. I swear, this look like some of those hats worn by the Mexican cavalry during the Alamo (I just watched it again on Starz the other night, so it was fresh in my mind). Probably a good idea not to give this to any Texans, just to play it safe.

We have just been given notice that a cargo container from Elk / Landmark lighting has been hijacked. No word yet on the suspects though we suspect the Soprano family may have something to do with this heinous theft. This is truly a first for the lighting business, and the perfect excuse to explain why your lamp is not in stock. So be on the lookout for real cheap Elk or Landmark fixtures because they may be “hot.” Please also note that we will not price match with stolen lamps that may be advertised on the web.
